Evangelism
Evangelism is the heartbeat of God, and it should be our heartbeat as well, knowing that the purpose of the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ to the earth and to the Cross was to spread the Good News. Understanding how important this is to God, He expects us to go make evangelism a priority and a focus. The final assignment from the LORD Jesus to the disciples was: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)
This instruction is for every follower of the LORD Jesus. We are to understand the importance of SOULS to God, as He does not desire anyone to perish but that all should come to repentance. That’s how much God loves us and wanted us to know Him. So if you are born-again (given your life to Christ Jesus), you are expected to share your salvation story with those who do not know Jesus Christ or are not His follower.
We are to constantly ask the LORD to increase our level of compassion, so that we can evangelize to sinners. This call to win souls is not for ‘special’ people but for all believers. If you can’t witness Christ to sinners, you can pray for them to be saved. In the end you are still a co-laborer for the Kingdom.
The disciples obeyed the command to go into all the world. We are to remember that as the LORD was with the disciples He will be with us. Every promise to the disciple is same promise to us today. He encouraged His disciples that He will be with them as they went.
“And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.” Amen. (Mark 16:20)
