Single Parents

The Problem

Being a single parent is one of the hardest things to confront as the commitment that should be for two people becomes a solo project. You become the parent that is not there 24/7. You suddenly realize that you aren’t equipped to handle this in as much as you love your child/children. The thought of being both parents alone for a long time can send uncertainty and sometimes fear into your soul. You’re doing your best to hold your head above the water as you deal with the heartbreak and feeling of rejection, or the boldness of making the decision to end the relationship. It’s even harder when your family aren’t helpful, for whatever reason.

In the midst of it, you know you need help from those around you and most importantly from the LORD Jesus Christ.

But the Good News…

…Being a single parent is not the end of the world. However you find yourself in this challenging role, know that you’re more equipped for this situation than you think. You will be so amazed at how God will send you people that will make the load easier for you.
Refuse to live your life in shame, but in hope, because with God, all things are possible. Remember, you are not your situation (I know it is easier said than done) but it is the reality and it is the truth.
The joy of the LORD is your strength. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Know that the LORD JESUS CHRIST loves you so much that He gave Himself for you. You are very special to Him.
